Snapshot Day
During October, 35 Parkland public libraries joined libraries across the province in Snapshot Day 2011. The purpose of the day was to show how important public libraries and library
systems are to the residents and communities of Alberta.
Parkland libraries are a significant contributor to quality of life in central Alberta, and the 2011 Snapshot Day results provide definitive proof! Nearly 5000 people walked through Parkland library doors in a single day. The results create a compelling picture of the significance of libraries in communities large and small.
What happens on a single day at Parkland libraries…
- 4,755 customer visits
- 431 reference questions
- 685 computer users
- 7,903 items circulated (averaged)
- 1,476 items loaned to and from libraries
- 75 programs offered
