Useful statistical data comes from different sources:

Libraries are required to gather and report specific statistical data which is collated by Public Library Services Branch to create a province-wide picture of library services. Libraries also gather statistics to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and services and to report back to their community and municipal council.

2013 annual report statistical summaries for PRL public libraries are available alphabetically and by population. You can also view this summary data as an Excel spreadsheet.
