A Friends of the Library group can be a true bonus for your library and community. While Friends groups differ greatly from library to library, they have one thing in common. Every Friends group is formed to support their library. Friends can become involved in fundraising, programming, special events, and advocacy activities. The scope of your Friends' reach will depend on your number of volunteers, their interests and skills, and what time they can give. In every case, Friends’ goals should align closely with the library’s strategic goals.
