eBooks and eAudio

Patron instructions on accessing eBooks and eAudio. (Includes FAQ regarding library eBooks, how to download eBooks from Freading and eBooks/eAudiobooks from EBSCO as well as information for specific eReader devices.)

EBSCO Support
Library staff may call 1.800.758.5995 for assistance with EBSCO eBook/eAudio technical issues. EBSCO no longer offers direct telephone support to patrons, but patrons may consult support.ebsco.com for help and may submit a support ticket on that website.

Freading Support
Library staff can email support@help.libraryideas.com or call 423.710.2225 for assistance with Freading eBook technical issues. Emails are preferred so Freading can keep track of technical issues.

Staff instructions on how to purchase EBSCO eBooks and eAudio are located under Training & Resources > Shipping & Ordering.

Statistics on the circulations of eBooks and eAudio purchased by individual libraries may be obtained from PRL by sending us a spreadsheet containing all such titles purchased by your library. PRL emails member libraries an annual reminder to send in this spreadsheet in order to obtain your circulation statistics for these titles. The spreadsheet must include the title and Product ID number of each item; libraries may include additional information if they wish.

Training resources including online tutorials and training courses, user guides, and help sheets exist to support many of the databases available to Parkland staff and patrons.
