This summer we will be providing online programming for Summer Reading Club. The kids’ program will consist of pre-recorded story times and craft videos that will be posted on our Facebook and YouTube page on Wednesdays and Fridays. All supplies needed to participate along with craft videos will be available for pick up at the library.
We will also be hosting Zoom meetings on Tuesdays and Thursdays. There will be two separate time windows for the Zoom meetings: 10:30 - 11:15 am for ages 3 - 5 and 2 - 2:45 pm for ages 6 - 9. The Zoom meetings will consist of singing songs, story times, and some fun movement programs. Occasionally, we will also be posting bonus content on our Facebook and YouTube channel on Mondays.
The teen programming will also occur online this summer. We will hold weekly Zoom meetings on Wednesdays at 1 pm. Within these meetings the teens will get to interact with their peers as well as play a variety of games. Some of the games we have planned include Jackbox TV games and virtual escape rooms. We will also lead crafts and activities for the teens during our Wednesday Zoom meetings. Packaged bags for crafts and activities will be available for pick up at the library.
We will still be having a prize draw at the end of the summer. You can earn ballots by reading books all summer long. The more books you read the more chances you will have to win. You can earn one ballot for every five picture books that you read or one ballot for every fifty pages. You can record your reading using the form on our website.
You can find the registration link here. This summer it is very important that you register to participate in our programs so that we can be prepared to supply our craft packages. We can’t wait to connect with you!
